Adding value and choice to Australia`s food industry

Our Food Division’s activity is diverse and trades a variety of products within the global food industry. We handle large volumes of grains such as wheat, barley, rice, canola and various feed crops. We also have significant involvement in meat, ethanol alcohol, malt for beer production, juice concentrates, and dairy products such as cheese, milk powders, butter, etc. Mitsui Australia has seen steady growth in many of these commodity exports, in particular dairy products and juice concentrates.
Although this list is extensive, Mitsui is always looking to expand our role in the Australian food industry through new business development and investment.
Another expanding activity by Mitsui, in cooperation with their customers and suppliers, is to create and develop new markets for food products by providing information and assistance about the target market to enhance promotion of those new products. Mitsui’s experience and involvement within the food industry has established a respected relationship with our suppliers and customers worldwide.
Although we primarily export to Japan and other Asian countries, we welcome new opportunities to expand our customer base and to enhance our global involvement in the food industry.
